  • Osteoarthritis:

Degenerative Joint Disease (DJD):  Osteoarthritis is the gradual breakdown of joint cartilage, leading to pain, stiffness, and reduced joint mobility. It often occurs in weight-bearing joints. this can lead to pain and discomfort in the joints effected.

  • Lameness:

Musculoskeletal Injuries:  Injuries to tendons, ligaments, or muscles can result in lameness. Common causes include strains, sprains, or tears.

Hoof Issues: Conditions such as abscesses, laminitis, or navicular syndrome can cause lameness. this is when your horse appears to have a limp in 1 or multiple legs. 

  • Kissing Spine:

Overlapping Dorsal Spines:  Kissing spine, also known as dorsal spinous process impingement (DSPI), is a condition that affects the spine of horses. It involves the overlapping or close contact of the dorsal spinous processes (DSP) of the vertebrae in the horse's back. These processes are bony projections along the top of the spine.
